Last night, things got a little out of hand after the Diamondbacks' Ian Kennedy accidentally nailed the hottest player in baseball right now, Yasiel Puig, in the 6th inning. Arizona is claiming that the hit by pitch was "accidental" and we're taking them on their word for it because who would honestly try and hit someone right on the nose on purpose?

However, if the Diamondbacks' intention was to take him out of the game early, it kinda sorta didn't work because Puig stayed in the game after taking the shot to the nose. But, in the 7th inning, the Dodgers' Zack Greinke retaliated by plunking Miguel Montero, which caused the benches to clear. In the end, a warning was handed out to both teams.

But the HBPs weren't done there because when Grienke batted up again, he was hit in the head. Obviously, benches cleared again and a scuffle of sorts broke out. This time, though, Kennedy, Puig, Diamondbacks manager Kirk Gibson and coach Turner Ward, Dodgers reliever Ronald Belisario and Dodgers hitting coach Mark McGwire (yes, that Mark McGwire!) were all ejected.

Just a real, real crazy scene yesterday. It should be interesting to see if this feud carries over into tonight's game.
