Team: Chicago Bulls
Opponent: Phoenix Suns
Result: Bulls over Suns, 4-2
Finals stats: 41.0 PPG, 8.5 RPG, 6.3 APG, 1.7 SPG

The one-on-one battle with his Dream Team teammate Charles Barkley brought out the best in Michael Jordan, who put up the best numbers in a Finals of his illustrious career. MJ was simply unstoppable against Phoenix, scoring 40-plus points in four of the six games and set a Finals record with his 41.0 points per game average.

He also joined Magic Johnson (and was later joined by Shaq, and himself again) as the only players to win the Finals MVP award three times. For the Bulls, the title capped their first three-peat and it certainly looked like they were on their way to a Celtics-esque dynasty. However, three and a half months later, Jordan would retire (for the first time) to play baseball.
