Kobe won his first title without Shaq in dominant fashion, scoring at least 29 points in all five games and simply dominating Orlando as he took home MVP honors. The Magic had no answer for the Lakers' star shooting guard, throwing pretty much any warm body they could find at him but never really finding a way to stop him.

Rather than by scoring, Kobe made several of his best plays of the series passing the ball; his dishes to Pau Gasol late in Games 2 and 4 helped give the Lakers late leads, and he had eight assists in four of the series' five games. That's not to say Kobe didn't hit clutch shots, though. In overtime of Game 4, it was his consecutive contested jumpers that gave the Lakers a lead they wouldn't surrender in taking an insurmountable 3-1 series lead.
