Ranking Every NBA Finals MVP

27. John Havlicek (1974)

Team: Boston Celtics
Opponent: Milwaukee Bucks
Result: Celtics over Bucks, 4-3
Finals stats: 26.4 PPG, 7.7 RPG, 4.7 APG, 1.9 SPG

Hondo helped deliver the first title of the post-Bill Russell area for the Celtics, as the series MVP did a little bit of everything to help his team overcome Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Oscar Robertson, and the Bucks in a back-and-forth seven game affair. Havlicek's heroics in the double overtime Game 6 were largely overshadowed by Kareem's last-second skyhook to send the series to Game 7. But in the final contest, he did manage to contribute 16 points and nine rebounds as the Celtics won the title on the road in Milwaukee. He was money from the free throw line throughout the series, sinking 41 of his 47 attempts.
