Matched up with dominant young star Shaquille O'Neal, "The Dream" showed why he is one of greatest centers in NBA history as he absolutely thrashed the Magic star and propelled his Rockets team to their second consecutive title. Hakeem was remarkably consistent, scoring between 31 and 35 points in each of the four games and shooting either right at or just under 50 percent from the floor each time.
He also became just the fourth player in history to score at least 30 points in every game of a Finals, joining Elgin Baylor (1962), Rick Barry (1967), and Michael Jordan (1993). Olajuwon's three-pointer right in Shaq's face during Game 4 became a lasting image of the Rockets' dominance in a series best remembered for Nick Anderson's missed free throws in Game 1 and Robert Horry's three in Game 3.
