24. Hakeem Olajuwon (1994)
Team: Houston Rockets
Opponent: New York Knicks
Result: Rockets over Knicks, 4-3
Finals stats: 26.9 PPG, 9.1 RPG, 3.6 APG, 1.6 SPG, 3.9 BPG
The 1994 Finals was a brutal, physical affair between the Rockets and Knicks, and going against fellow Hall of Famer Patrick Ewing, Olajuwon thrived in this difficult playing environment. He absolutely demolished Ewing on both ends of the floor, outscoring his foe by almost 10 points per game and outshooting him 50 percent to 36.3 percent. Olajuwon capped his outstanding performance with a near triple-double in Game 7, scoring 25 points to go with 10 rebounds, seven assists, and three blocks as he guided his team to the first championship in franchise history. For "The Dream," the win served as vindication after a long wait just to get back to the Finals (he had lost there with the Rockets in 1986).
