J.R. Smith is known for having fun on Twitter. But a little while ago, that "fun" came at the expense of all of the loyal Knicks fans out there. Smith—who might not be coming back to the Knicks next season because he's a free agent—sent out this tweet:
And the response from Knicks fans who thought that this was his way of saying goodbye was immediate:
Fortunately, though, Smith isn't leaving New York. Er, not yet anyway. As it turns out, his original tweet had absolutely nothing to do with his future with the Knicks:
