Holden, GM's awesome Australian division, just spent a lot of money to take a Holden SS V Redline Ute around the Nurburgring. Normally, Holden is just content to Australian things in Australia. At the same time, GM Holden’s Director of Product Launch Communications, Craig Cheetham said "All I can say at this stage is 'watch this space’" regarding the shots on Holden's official website.

CarSales.com.au seems to think this means that the Holden Ute will show up on our shores, potentially under an El Camino badge. It was Mark Reuss who was behind both this trip to Germany and the re-badging of the Holden Commodore as the Chevrolet SS in the USA, so it could happen. While we're skeptical, we'd love to see this dream come true..
