John Lucas II was a serviceable point guard that could've been better had it not been for his substance abuse problems. He still managed to play 14 years and since getting his life together has been a mentor for many NBA players. Lucas II also had various stints as a head and assistant coach and now works as a life coach for players having difficulty with NBA life. His son, John Lucas III, has some of his father's resolve. After going undrafted in 2005 out of Oklahoma St., the younger Lucas has worked his way into the league and is proving to be hard working role player.
