Famed F1 designer Adrian Newey wrecked his brand-new Lamborghini Gallardo Super Trofeo on the warm-up lap of a Super Trofeo race at England's legendary Silverstone Circuit on Sunday.
As you can see in the video, Newey was warming up the tires on his $500,000 Lambo when he suddenly (inexplicably?) lost control of the car, causing him to slam head first into a concrete wall. The car sustained heavy front-end damage and was ruled out of the race.
Newey, who currently designs F1 cars for Red Bull Racing, was uninjured in the crash but early reports indicate that his massive ego was severely bruised.
Stay off the track, Adrian!
