Once upon a time, New York Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie had nine different cars in his garage. There were two Dodge Chargers, a Chevy Caprice, two BMWs, two Cadillac Escalades, and two other cars that he doesn't even remember. In a recent interview with Newsday, he also admitted that he came thisclose to copping a Lamborghini at the beginning of his career. But these days, Cro is no longer concerned with stunting in luxury rides. Instead, he drives a Toyota Prius. And it sounds like he couldn't be happier.

"I fill it up every 2.5 weeks or so," he told Newsday, "and I'm only spending 33 bucks, while everybody else is spending 80 or 90 bucks a tank. Right now, I'm all about saving money."

Saving money? Didn't Cro sign a four-year, $32 million contract with the Jets back in 2011? Shouldn't he be splurging on, like, Bentleys and Benzes right now?

"I try to put away as much money as I possibly can and live on a budget," says Cromartie, who admits to blowing through $5 million in his first two years in the NFL. "I learned the hard way."

At least he learned his lesson before it was too late. Hybrid cars FTW!
