According to The Jerusalem Post, Amar'e Stoudemire has joined Ori Allon and his group in an effort to purchase the Israeli basketball club Hapoel Jerusalem. A couple days ago, Stoudemire sent out the following tweet:

Excited to join the partnership that is giving back to the city of Jerusalem by offering the Hapoel basketball team a fresh start.

Since reconnecting with his Jewish roots, Amar'e has done plenty to involve himself in everything about the Israeli basketball culture, including becoming an assistant coach for Canada at the Maccabiah Games. Is this a smart decision on STAT's part? Well, it can't be worse than this one. Never forget.
