Chevy has been doing a great job building up hype for the 2014 Corvette Stingray by slowly releasing details. We knew that it had 455 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, but we didn't know exactly how that would translate speed-wise. Now that changes. The new 'Vette will do 0-60 in just 3.8 seconds. And that's stock.
To put that in perspective, the C6 base Corvette came in at 4.2. The Z06, 3.7. And the last Stingray 'Vette in 1976 did 8.0. So yeah, this new one is pretty damn quick. At $56,590 it's one of the fastest cars you'll get in that price range. Look out for the Corvette's release this summer.
