Elgin Baylor never won an NBA title, but that doesn't mean that this once-in-a-generation playoff performer couldn't put up huge numbers in big games. He set a still-standing record in Game 5 of the 1962 NBA Finals, pouring in a staggering 61 points and grabbing 22 rebounds in the Boston Garden to give his Lakers a 3-2 series lead over the Celtics. Baylor was tremendous all series, averaging 40.3 points as he did his best to win his first title. It was not enough, however, as the Celtics came back to take the series in seven games.
