NBA Player Nick Young Is Being Sued for Alleged Sexual Assault

This doesn't sound good for him.

Nick Young didn't have a great season with the Philadelphia 76ers this year. Although his numbers were decent—he averaged 10.6 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game—he was pretty inconsistent throughout the season and only played in 59 of the Sixers' 82 games. And it sounds like his offseason isn't going to be any better.

A California woman just filed a lawsuit against Young, claiming he drugged her at a club in Hollywood back in 2011 and then sexually assaulted her back at his home. The woman, who is identified as "Jane Doe" in court documents, says she met Young at the Crown Bar in West Hollywood and that he bought her and a friend some champagne. But she says that she doesn't remember what happened after she drank the champagne and believes that he drugged her. She claims that she woke up in Young's bed the next morning and felt as though she had been a victim of rape. So she asked Young to take her home and then visited the UCLA Santa Monica Rape Treatment Center, where a test reportedly confirmed that she had been drugged and likely raped.

The woman is suing Young for sexual battery, sexual assault, false imprisonment, and a host of other things and wants Young to pay her an unspecified amount of money. The Crown Bar is also listed in the lawsuit, and the woman wants them to pay her for negligence. Young is, of course, innocent until proven guilty here. But it sounds like he's going to be spending at least part of his offseason in court. Stay tuned to see how this all plays out.
