Officials at Mini USA have announced that a seaworthy version of their iconic Mini Cooper Convertible will be making an appearance at this weekend’s Aberdeen Dad Vail Regatta on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia. Mini is sponsoring the regatta, which regularly attracts over 35,000 spectators, as part of its ongoing efforts to attract young, hip buyers.
The car is essentially a small boat with a fiberglass frame bolted on top. It does, however, have working headlights, full badges and wheels that spin during acceleration.
