Isn't this a shame?
Yesterday, fans gathered at the AS Roma/AC Milan game used a series of racial chants directed at Mario Balotelli. It got so bad at one point that referees had to stop the match and have Roma captain Francesco Totti read a statement to the crowd in attendance. After a few minutes, the game started up again and the chants stopped. But it was a huge waste of time and a stupid, completely unnecessary reason to interrupt the match (and, for the record, this sort of thing happens a lot when Balotelli is on the field).
We giveBalotelli a hard time for some of the dumb stuff he does off the soccer field. But he doesn't deserve this kind of treatment.
