Jay-Z Wants to Help Redevelop Long Island's Nassau Coliseum

As if he doesn't have enough on his plate already...

Only two weeks have passed since Jay-Z officially announced that he is no longer part of the Brooklyn Nets organization, and he's already getting involved in another sports-related project. Hov's Roc Nation is reportedly part of a larger group that's bidding on the right to help redevelop Nassau Coliseum in Long Island. In a somewhat ironic twist, the NHL's Islanders will be moving out of the 40-year-old Nassau Coliseum in 2015 and moving into the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, which will leave it vacant. Jay-Z & Co. are interested in the obtaining the property and renovating it.

Nassau County is expected to decide whether or not to sell the space to the group this summer. Stay tuned.
