You know you've got it good when you're thinking, "my company's sales figures are too high." Yes, that is the position Ferrari CEO Luca di Montezemolo is in right now.

Given that Ferrari sales have exploded during the recession, he's now in the position of trying to preserve the exclusivity of the marque and help used cars retain their value. In order to do this the company is going to impose limits on production, and offer more customization in order to decrease sales while increasing profit.

“I want Ferrari to remain exclusive,” said di Montezemolo. “A Ferrari is like a beautiful woman, she must be worth waiting for and desired. I base my ideas on what I learned from Enzo Ferrari, if we produce less cars, we will not flood the market and it makes our used cars more desirable too.”

Yup, he thinks Ferrari is turning into a slut, and wants to stop that before it gets out of hand and she wakes up in an alleyway reeking of vodka and Astroglide.
