Chevrolet promised 450 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque out of the new Corvette Stingray, but what has been delivered is 455 horses and 460 lb-ft, and even more impressive is that this high powered, 6.2L V8 will return better than 26 miles per gallon highway. The Stingray should be able to hit 60 mph in under four seconds with that kind of power, and for $52,000, we think that sounds like a steal.
Just imagine how crazy the hotter variants are going to be.
