Carmelo Anthony must be happy that the Boston Celtics were eliminated from the playoffs last night. Possibly more than any New York Knicks fan or teammate. That's because throughout this season and even up to the postseason, Anthony was subjected to taunts by everyone associated with the C's that, in some way, referenced his wife LaLa.
In the first quarter of last night's Game 6 contest, the Celtics fans started a clearly audible "Honey Nut Cheerios" chant as Melo took a seat on the Knicks bench. Of course, in the end, Anthony got the last laugh by bouncing Boston from playoff contention.
Guess the Celtics fans got their mouths taped.
