Are the Washington Redskins Going to Become the Washington Redtails Soon?

It might happen.

Washington, D.C. might be losing their beloved Redskins soon. Don't worry, though, 'Skins fans. The team isn't relocating to Los Angeles or anything like that. Rather, they might be forced to change their team name in the near future. D.C. Council member David Grusso proposed a name change recently and wrote up a resolution because the name that the team currently uses is "a derogatory, racist name."

"It's been a long time that we've had this name associated with Washington," he said, "and I think it's time we take a stand and change it."

So what does he want the team to change it to? The name that's being floated around right now is the Washington Redtails. Yes, the Redtails. Grusso believes that it would be the perfect name for the team because it was the nickname used by the Tuskegee Airmen that broke the color barrier by flying planes for the military during World War II.

So what do you think, 'Skins fans? Riding for the Redtails? Ehhh…
