Recently, 90-year-old Justyn Ambrozia of New Port Richey, Fla. was doing some shopping at a local grocery store when he fell and broke both his arm and his hip. Some store employees found Ambrozia on the ground, helped him up, and then assisted him and his groceries to his car. But he didn't say he was in pain and didn't ask them to call for help, so the employees allowed him to get into his car and go home by himself. And that's where Ambrozia ran into trouble.

Once he arrived at his house, he pulled into his garage and shut off his car. But when he tried to get out of the car, he realized that he couldn't move. He was in so much pain that he was unable to get out. Further, he couldn't muster up the strength to turn the car back on, so he couldn't drive out of the garage to get help. So, for the next three days, Ambrozia sat in his car waiting for help. He ate cookies, cake, and ice cream cones to survive. It wasn't until a neighbor happened to walk by his garage and see him inside the car that he was rescued.

We're glad to hear he's okay. But, we bet that's the last time he drives to the grocery store by himself, eh? Also, we bet the first thing he does when he recovers from his injuries is go and buy Life Alert a cell phone. It definitely would have come in handy in this particular situation.
