If you woke up in the middle of the night, looked outside, and saw someone rummaging through your car, what would you do? Run out and try to scare them off, right? Well, that's what a man named Randy Moon from Paisley, Fla. did on Monday morning when he looked outside at 2:30 a.m. and saw the dash light on in his daughter's Toyota Matrix. Except, when he went outside and approached the car, he realized that it wasn't a burglar rummaging through the car. Instead, it was a huge 300-pound black bear that had managed to open one of the car's doors, climb inside, and then lock itself in.

"I looked outside at the car and saw the dash light on," Moon said later. "There was a bear tearing it all to pieces, going from side to side."

Moon was able to unlock the car, open one of the doors, and chase the bear off. But the damage was done. The car had the bear's paw prints all over it, the interior was shredded up, and pretty much everything inside of the car was ruined. It was totaled. Even worse: His car insurance company refused to pay for the damage done by the bear.

After the incident took place, Moon helped his daughter buy a new car, a 2006 Nissan. But we've got just one word for him if he wants to prevent it from happening again: Garage. Or, better yet, relocation. The bears down in Paisley sound crazy.
