We Really Hope That This Report About an Angry Bulls Fan Suing Derrick Rose Isn't True

If it is, it's such a silly lawsuit.

Are you upset because Derrick Rose hasn't played a single game during the 2012-13 NBAseason? Well, then sue him! No, really, go ahead and do it. You're probably not going to win—in fact, we can say with some degree of certainty that you're definitely not going to win—but, at the very least, it'll get your name all over the Internet for a day!

Just ask 25-year-old Illinois resident Matthew Thompson. He reportedly just filed a suit against D-Rose because he suffered from mental breakdowns and emotional distress and even put on a few extra pounds because of Rose's lack of playing time during the current NBA season. We're not exactly sure how Rose's presence on the floor would have eliminated any of those things. But Thompson wants to earn a payday as a result of all the "suffering" that he's endured. So he's taking Rose to court.

Assuming this guy is actually going through with this lawsuit—we'll admit, we have our doubts about the legitimacy of it, though we wouldn't put it past someone to file such a frivolous suit—we wish him the best of luck. He's going to need lots and lots (and lots!) of it to convince a judge that he's got a legit case.
