It took years and years and years for college football to come around to the idea of having a college football playoff. It took them all of about five minutes to come up with the name for it.
College Football Playoff. That's what the BCS committee came up with recently when it came time to name the new playoff system. Nothing fancy. Nothing crazy. Nothing creative. Just College Football Playoff (complete with a new website and everything!). It's an unimpressive name, to say the least.
Listen, far be it from us to complain here. After all, we are finally getting the college football playoff system that we've always wanted. But the BCS committee couldn't have spent five additional minutes thinking up a couple of other names? Like, any other names? SMH. Okay then. College Football Playoff it is!
