Achievements as a Teen: Nadia Comaneci was just 14 years old when she took home three gold medals at the 1976 Summer Olympics. At those same games she became the first gymnast to ever receive a perfect score of 10 in an Olympic gymnastics event. She went on to achieve two more gold medals at the 1980 Olympics at the age of 18.
Career Recap: In 1984, Comaneci was a recipient of the Olympic Order, the highest honor given by the International Olympic Committee. She became the youngest recipient of the award at the time (22). She received the award again in 2004, thus becoming the only athlete to receive the award twice. Comaneci was inducted into the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame in 1993.
