Achievements as a Teen: At the time of his debut in 1996, Bryant became the youngest player to ever play in an NBA game. He was just 18 years and 72 days old. As his minutes increased so did his prowess. He finished the 1997-1998 season as runner up for Sixth Man of the Year, and he won the Slam Dunk contest.
