Brittney Griner and Baylor dominated the NCAA last year with their 40-0 championship season. Louisville came in today to let us know that things change. The Cardinals tied the record for most three-pointers made in the NCAA Tournament (16) to take down the Bears, 82-81. Louisville held on after it almost wasted a 17-point lead to advance.
This unexpectedly became Griner's last collegiate game, and it was far from her best. She didn't score until 15:20 in the second half and finished the game with a light 14 points and 10 rebounds. She finishes her career second on the NCAA all-time scoring list.
So yeah, pretty emotional day at Louisville.
