Syracuse just suffered a heartbreaking loss to Michigan (61-56) in the Final Four, so Jim Boeheim was understandably not in the best of moods. CBSSports.com'sGregg Doyel asked Boeheim about potential retirement in the postgame conference, because some of us were wondering, you know? The head coach got a bit sassy, to say the least:
Doyel: I asked 19-year-old kids the same question and they handled it better than you are.
After a few more quick words, Boeheim finally said, "I'm not going to answer that question unless you ask every coach that question. Are you going to ask John if he's going to retire or not coming back next year? I've never indicated at any time that I'm not coming back next year–ever." Sheesh, was that so hard?
