It's a sad day for NFL fans. Pat Summerall—the former NFL player who served as an NFL broadcaster for more than 40 years after his playing days were over—passed away earlier today at the age of 82. No cause of death has been given yet. But Summerall, who teamed up with legendary broadcaster John Madden for more than 20 of the years he was involved in broadcasting, reportedly suffered from a number of health issues over the course of the last decade.

R.I.P. to a true legend in the broadcasting game.
