Fisker Automotive, the makers of the sexy and mustachioed FiskerKarma, is going to declare bankruptcy this week after an extremely rough year, failing to find Chinese investors, and laying off most of its employees last week. There's still hope that someone might swoop in and buy the company, but the decision to sell or go the route of Chapter 11 is to be made on Tuesday.

If bankruptcy is declared, most of Fisker's assets will go to the Department of Energy, as the company took $193 million in government loans.

We think it's a shame that the business side of Fisker never came together, because the Karma was a beautiful and interesting car. At least this means that the Karma that we gave to Mac Miller is going to be even more rare and exotic in a few years.
