First the brand's namesake left the company, then they let go about 75 percent of their employees, and now those fired employees are dropping a federal lawsuit at the doorstep of the company's stagnant factory. According to Carscoop, the workers say Fisker did not give them the 60 mandatory days of notice before letting them go. They also claim that there is no severance package of any type.
This failure is in direct violation of both the federal WARN Act and the California WARN Act (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification). In addition to having to pay the compensation, Fisker will be required to pay a $500 penalty for each day that they fail to take action.
