A History of NFL Hall of Famers Who Were Picked in the 5th Round or Later

Mike Webster

School: Wisconsin
Team: Pittsburgh Steelers
Position: Center
Year: 1974
Round: 5 (125 overall)
Inducted Into HOF: 1997

Still regarded as one of the all-time great centers in league history, Webster won four Super Bowls with the Steelers as he started a remarkable 150 games in a row between 1976 and 1986. He was named to the Pro Bowl and All-Pro teams nine times, and was one of the most physically imposing of his day. Unfortunately, he is better known now for his post-career problems that were likely brought about by repeatedly ignored head trauma suffered during his playing career.
