Team/Player: Joe DiMaggio
Date: 5/15/1941-7/17/1941

While this record is rightly held as one of the most remarkable in all of sports, Joltin' Joe pulled it off against watered down competition that made it a lot easier for him to keep growing his amazing record. In 34 of these games, he recorded just a solitary hit. Had he been facing some of the Negro Leagues' top pitchers of the time like Satchel Paige, it's fair to say that he would have seen his streak end a lot sooner.
