In early February, with their record sitting at 21-28, the Mavericks make a pact. As a team, they agreed that they wouldn't shave until they were .500 again. Today, they need just one more win to reach their goal, and they can't wait for it to happen. In fact, they're so excited that they've already asked O.J. Mayo's barber—who they refer to as Omar the Barber—to come to their game against the Pacers tomorrow night and be ready to shave off all of their beards if they win.

"Man, everyone is going to have their clippers in their locker Thursday," Mayo said earlier today, "and hopefully you guys can watch us shave them off. The barber will be here. We're going to leave him tickets and give ourselves a chance to shave them off."

No one is more excited than Dirk Nowitzki. His beard has taken on a life of its own. And, he's ready for it to be gone.

"I don't really want to jinx it," he said, "but I'm ready to get this thing off."

We'll most definitely be tuned into this game to see what happens.
