The C7 Corvette Convertible, which first surfaced two days ago, "looks even better than the coupe, as the lack of a roof really accentuates the smooth line rising over the cars haunches." In the flesh, during its debut in Geneva, America's drop-top halo car looked sexier than we previously imagined.
The car will be functionally identical to the Stingray hardtop—equipped with a LT1 6.2-liter V8 with an estimated 450 horsepower—and promises a sub-4 second 60 time. A three-ply fabric with sound-absorbing padding is employed for the top, which includes a heated rear window for misty days.
Most impressive is the new technology: A Driver Mode Selector that allows drivers a selection of five settings ranging from Tour mode to Sport (for track driving). And, of course, the premium Nappa leather and micro-suede keep the exteriors sex appeal humming throughout.
