Not every amazing play has to decide a championship, or even a game. This crazy alley-oop dunk from Baylor's Quincy Acy last year is proof of just how much the game has evolved during the 75 years of the NCAA Tournament, taking the game from being played strictly below the rim and moving it up into the atmosphere. It would have been an entirely fruitless exercise to try to explain to Adolph Rupp or John Wooden 40 years ago how or why a play like this would work. The modern game is one with more highlight reel level plays, and will surely continue to evolve in this year's tournament and beyond.
