Before he was a man known strictly for his horrific dance moves, Mark Madsen was a solid forward for a surprising Stanford squad in the 1998 Tournament. Playing against Cuttino Mobley and his underdog Rhode Island Rams, Madsen propelled his team into the Final Four with a huge slam plus the foul to cap a rally that brought his team back from a 71-65 deficit with 59.3 seconds to play. The Cardinals held on from there, punching their ticket to San Antonio where they lost in overtime to Kentucky in the national semifinals.
