March 14, 1981 will forever be known as the day the NCAA Tournament became officially known as March Madness. The first domino to fall in this series of events was an incredible finish to the Second round matchup between Louisville and Arkansas. After the Cardinals took a one-point lead with four seconds to go, Arkansas forward U.S. Reed uncorked a halfcourt shot that somehow went in to give the Razorbacks a miracle victory. It was merely the first in a wild series of events that would transpire over the next couple hours.
