For a lot of reasons, perfect seasons are nearly impossible to accomplish in college sports. There are just so many variables in play, and even one off night against a decent team can be enough to send even the best teams to a loss. In 1976, the Indiana Hoosiers were perfect. They stormed through the regular season at 27-0, then promptly cleaned house in the Tournament en route to the National Title. They won their five tournament games by a combined margin of 66 points, and are the last team to finish an entire season undefeated.
