Ronda Rousey to Coach Next Season of The Ultimate Fighter

Smart move?

None

This past Saturday, Dana White announced that for the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter, one of the coaches will be Ronda Rousey. The move may be a slight surprise considering the previous 17 editions of the series have featured male coaches, however, this seems to be just another way for White to build up Rousey's popularity among the UFC audience.

Back in late February, Rousey faced Liz Carmouche for the Women's Bantamweight Championship in the first-ever, all-female main event. So, this move by Dana should only help the organization progress towards equality while giving the mostly male audience of TUF some much appreciated eye candy.

With Rousey appearing on a weekly basis on your TV, will this make you want to tune in more often?
