After only playing in five games and grand total of 74 minutes on the court, Danny Granger has opted to have surgery on his still ailing left knee after meeting with the Pacers' medical staff and Dr. James Andrews. As USA Today reports, Dwyane Wade had a similar problem to Granger before undergoing a procedure in May 2007 and D-Wade ended up leading the league in scoring the following season.

Even though he is expected to be ready by training camp, Granger will be missed when the Pacers enter the playoffs this next month.
