You're familiar with the Mitsubishi MiEV, or at least you should be, by now. It's this weird-lookin' vehicle that has been making the rounds since its Japanese debut back in '09:
Now, almost four years later, Mitsubishi has launched a new heftier EV called the CA-MiEV (with the CA representing "Compact" and "Advanced." The announced range of the car is 186 miles, which is 122 miles better than the range on the previous MiEV. It runs on a 28kWh lithium-ion battery and 80kW motor. The car is serving purely as a model to show off the future technologies of the company, so don't expect this to hit production.
