Ford of India is apologizing profusely left and right at the moment for these ads, which feature celebrity caricatures bound and gagged in the back of a Ford Figo. Given that the country is currently trying to deal with what can only be described as a rape crisis, in which lone women are targeted by groups of men every day, the timing couldn't be worse.
The first ad features Silvio Berlusconi with three bound and ball-gagged women, the second has Paris Hilton kidnapping the Kardashians, and the third is of recently re-retired F1 champion Michael Schumacher transporting Sebastien Vettel, Lewis Hamilton, and Fernando Alonso. There was probably a better way to show that the Figo has good cargo capacity.
