Titus Young Was Just Cut by the St. Louis Rams Less Than Two Weeks After They Signed Him

That was fast.

Earlier this month, the Detroit Lions decided to cut their troubled wide receiver Titus Young. And, within 24 hours, he already had a new team, as the St. Louis Rams claimed him off waivers. It sounded like a great chance for Young to get a fresh start. But, less than two weeks after the Rams signed him, they're already tired of him. So, they just cut him from the team after spending a few days talking to him.

"We felt like by claiming Titus, we would have the opportunity to spend a good deal of time with him," Rams coach Jeff Fisher said earlier this afternoon. "We spent that time with him, we spent probably four or five days with him, and as an organization, at the end of the interview process, you might call it, we felt it was best to go in another direction."

Well, that was certainly fast! And, according to Fisher, it was not because of a physical issue or an injury, so some aspect of Young's behavior must have triggered the Rams' quick reaction. It'll be interesting to see if anyone else picks him up now that he's burned two NFL bridges in less than two weeks.
