This Alfa Romeo Concept is, Sadly, Just a Design Exercise

The IED students who worked on this know what they're doing.

Alfa Romeo teamed up with IED – The European Design Institute, not an improvised explosive device – to create this concept car for the Geneva Motor Show. While it doesn't preview the upcoming Giulia sedan, we certainly wouldn't complain if the car ended up looking much like this.

We think the front end is nothing short of brilliant; those exaggerated fenders, bright slits for headlights, bulging hood, and deep contours make for an aggressive and distinctively Afla-ish face. The rear, however, isn't quite as fresh. It almost looks like a glorous Alfa Romeo face got grafted on to a Tesla Model by an automotive Herr Frankenstein, Phd.

We're greatly looking forward to seeing it from more angles in March when it has its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show.
