Have you noticed that Dirk Nowitzki's beard has looked a little fuller lately? Probably not. But, you will soon.

With the Mavs struggling this year, O.J. Mayo and Vince Carter came up with an idea recently to try and save their season. That idea is simple: Start winning games ASAP—or no one on the team is allowed to shave. Mayo, Carter, and the rest of the Mavs made a pact, as a team, not to shave their beards again until Dallas has a .500 record.

"We were just like, 'Let's do it,'" Carter revealed, "and guys were all in."

We'll see how committed they are in a few weeks, though. The Mavs are currently 21-28, meaning that even if they somehow manage to run off seven straight wins to get back to .500, they won't be able to do it until at least February 26 when the play the Bucks. And, while they have a pretty favorable schedule coming up that includes six of seven games at home and matchups with the Kings and Hornets, we just don't see a seven-game winning streak in their future based on what we've seen from them so far this season.

So, if you haven't noticed Nowitzki's beard yet, you will soon. And, it might provide the most entertainment you're going to get out of the Mavs all season.
