The 20 Best High School Pro Basketball Draftees of All-Time

13. Monta Ellis

High School: Lanier (Jackson, MS)
Accomplishments
: 1x Most Improved Player
Teams: Warriors, Bucks
Career Stats: 19.5 PPG, 3.7 RPG, 4.5 APG, 1.7 SPG

Ellis has been putting up hellish amounts of points after being named the NBA's Most Improved Player in 2007. It's not just about the number of points; the dude is a highlight real, pulling off those quick moves and flashy, impossible layups with an almost devilish glee. The thing about it, though, is that his skill has only been able to push Golden State to the playoffs just once—where they upset the 67-15 Mavericks in the first round. Ellis doesn't seem to be faring that much better with the Bucks, but no one can deny this guard's skill. He's not Dwyane Wade-good, but pretty good nonetheless.
