"Chocolate Thunder" was one of the first to do it out of high school. After joining the L in 1975, Dawkins became known for posterizing the the backboard itself. The NBA ended up switching to breakaways rims because of the guy. Plus, with names like "the Rim Wrecker," "the In-Your-Face Disgrace," and "Chocolate-Thunder-Flying, Robinzine-Crying, Teeth-Shaking, Glass-Breaking, Rump-Roasting, Bun-Toasting, Wham-Bam, Glass-Breaker-I-Am-Jam," we have to wonder why naming your own dunks stopped being a thing.

Dawkins also helped the Sixers reach the 1977 and 1982 NBA Finals, where they lost both times.
